Adrian Gonzalez has made a career in the convention
and tradeshow industry. Eighteen years of experience in both convention
service and security coordination has developed a bi-lingual industry
professional with an exceptional ability to understand, communicate and
coordinate his clients’ needs at a convention center or any venue.
In addition to these skills, he has gained
invaluable experience, procedure development, and supervisory skills
through the last three expansions of the Orange County Convention Center
in Orlando. He is a meeting professional with a perfect understanding of
the needs of all sizes and types of meetings, special events,
conventions and tradeshows.
In 1985, Adrian joined the security staff of the
Orange County Convention Center. As a Security Representative he was
responsible for the protection of human life and property, crowd
control, emergency response and the general monitoring of events in the
building. In 1988, as a Senior Security Representative, he was
responsible for carrying out the daily security plan of the building,
supervising subordinate security employees and provide direct support to
the Event Staff Supervisor and the Event Coordinator.
Adrian was promoted to Event Staff Supervisor in
1995, where he provided technical and professional expertise in the
development and implementation of the security plan and the contract for
all shows and events assigned to him. He was responsible for the
coordination and supervision of the staff personnel, for issuing event
schedules, special requests and service orders related to the security
and safety aspect of the event, attended site visits and maintained
direct communication with the client regarding all aspects of the
security and coordination of the event.
In 1997 Adrian was promoted again. As the Event
Coordinator at the Orange County Convention Center, he assisted in the
coordination of some of the largest tradeshows ever held in the country.
He served as a liaison between the customers who use the building, their
contractors, and the Center’s staff, assuring that all rules and
regulations were being met in a timely and professional manner. Adrian
worked directly with the client through the pre-planning of their event,
during the day of the event, and afterwards as well, in a post-event
follow-up, to assure the client’s satisfaction.
Adrian Gonzalez then became a Managing Partner of
Event Masters and Professional Event Management, LLC where he is the
in-house security specialist and chief of onsite operations.
Adrian Gonzalez is now a valued member of the
